24 Dec Why our behavior is the message!
We all know situations in our life in which we behave differently than we feel internally. It doesn't matter whether we do it consciously or unconsciously and whether it happens a few times or over a longer period of time. It is often the case that our behavior is sending the wrong message to the people around us.
It is not a question of whether we want to keep these people in our lives, but the way in which we communicate and deal with them. Ultimately, we should treat our counterparts as we would like to be treated ourselves.
Speak with your words and your message can be distorted...Speak with your actions and you´ll leave no doubt. - Dr. Steve Maraboli
It takes a while before we reflect on our behavior. This usually happens in phases in which we are at a distance from the people / situations concerned and have time to think for a longer period. Sometimes it can also happen that we run into another person who shows us this behavior and makes us aware. We then often notice that we take people and things for granted, do not show them enough appreciation and attention and thus do not express our feelings sufficiently and honestly enough.
Here is an everyday example: You keep telling someone valuable to you that you love them, but you don't act accordingly, because you often hurt them and cause them worry by your actions. In this sense, our behavior is always the message, because we humans can say and promise a lot, but ultimately our actions speak for us!
